Terrorists trapped in Tangmarg area, Baramullah

The Security Forces have launched search operation in Tangmarg area of Baramulla District after getting a tip off about the presence of terrorists in this area. The Rashtriya Rifle (RR) along with SOG and CRPF have launched joint cordon and search operation in the Tangmarg area of Baramulla District.
This year the security forces have succeeded in neutralizing a large number of terrorists. 37 terrorists were killed in the month of November, 2018 alone out of which 9 were the top terrorists. These terrorists were from dreadful terrorist groups like Hizbul Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Taiba. Naveed Jatt, one of the top terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba, was also killed in this month in an encounter between the terrorists and the security forces in Badgam district. Security forces have causing much destruction to the terrorist outfits this year. A total number of 238 terrorists were killed in as many as 587 incidents while 86 Security Forces personnel were martyred in anti-terrorism Operations in 2018 mentions the report Ministry of Home Affairs. The increased number of terrorists’ neutralization has been seen as a big success of the security forces and it has also acted as deterrence among youth to join terrorism.
