Three bootleggers arrested in Anantnag

October 11: Anantnag police arrested three bootleggers and recovered huge quantity of contraband substance from their possession.

During naka checking at Railway bridge Arwani Bijbehara, a police party of Police Station Bijbehara apprehended three (03) suspected persons. During their search, a huge quantity of contraband Codeine bottles and one kilogram of Bhung was recovered from their possession.

The bootleggers was identified as Wajid Ahmad Zarger Son of Abdul Gani Zarger, Waseem Ahmad Hajam Son of Abdul Rashid Hajam, Sartaj Ahmad Lone Son of Ghulam Mohammed Lone, all residents of Rang Mohalla Maspuna Pulwama.

In this regard, a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Bijbehara and further investigation taken up.
