The Chief Electoral Officer, J&K Shaleen Kabra today issued notification for the conduct of 1st phase of Panchayati Polls-2018 to elect Sarpanches and Panches.

 

In Jammu Division, the Panchayati elections will be held in 1st Phase in Dachhan, Bunjwah, Marwah, Padder, Warwan in Kishtwar District, Bhallessa, Changa, Jakyas, Chilli Pingal in Doda District, Ramsoo, Khari in Ramban District, Dudu Basantgarh, Lath Marothi, Panchari, Moungri in Udhampur District, Bani, Duggan in Kathua District, Manjakote, Panjgrain in Rajouri and Buffliaz, Surankote in Poonch District.

 

The notification has been issued for Kupwara, Bandipora,Baramulla,Ganderbal, Srinagar, Budgam, Kargil, Leh District in Kashmir Division.

 

According to the notification, the last date for making nominations is 30 October, 2018 , the date for the scrutiny of nominations is 31 October, 2018, the last date for withdrawal of candidature is the 02 November, 2018, the date on which a poll, if necessary, shall be from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm on 17 November, 2018, the date of counting is 17 November, 2018 unless notified otherwise, and the date before which the election shall be completed on 17 December, 2018.
