The BJP has set many new records in the Corporation elections in Kashmir valley, adding to the series of new records, one of the Councilor from Sopor started a new tradition, when he took the oath of office by chanting the Ganesh Mantra. Mr. Rohit Kumar Tak, who won the corporation elections from Shahabad Ward, before taking the oath of office, asked the officer in-charge for oath taking, whether he could take the oath as per his religious belief. The officer in-charge granted the permission to do so and Mr. Tak took the oath of office by chanting the Ganesh Mantra- Vakratunda Mahakay,Sooryakoti Samaprabha Nirvighnam Kuru me Deva Sarvakaryeshu Sarvada.
