The J&K police stopped the march of separatists of Kashmir Valley. The march was to be carried on to protest against the killing of 3 terrorists and 7 stone-pelters in South Kashmir’s Pulwama District on Saturday. The curbs were imposed in parts of Srinagar and Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and JKLF chief Mohammad Yasin Malik were detained to ensure that the law and order situation should remain under control. JKLF chief Mohammad Yasin Malik, one of the separatists, went into hiding since Saturday but he took out a march from GawKadal along with his supporters. This protest even witnessed the violence and again some youth resorted to stone –pelting. The separatist from Kashmir valley Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik had called for the march to BadamiBagh. All shops, business establishments and educational institutions remained closed in Srinagar and other parts of Valley while public transport was off the roads. Even train services were affected for three consecutive days near to Kashmir Valley.

Though the security forces have already cautioned the people against falling prey to the tricks of separatists yet a number of people turned out for the Bandh call of separatists.
