Constitute advisory council for rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) in Valley demands KPS

The representatives of Kashmir Pandit Sabha (KPS), under the leadership of K.K. Khosla, met Governor Satya Pal Malik and demanded for constitution of Advisory Council for the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in the Kashmir Valley. Khosla demanded that apart from the representative from central and state government, the representatives from the community of KPs should also be included in advisory council. It would help in brining transparency in accommodating the demands of KPs and implementation of it.
 
 
 
 
 
While placing the demands to the Governor, the KPS asked for safe and secure return and rehabilitation of KPs in the Valley. They demanded that encroachment must be removed from the religious places of Hindus and financial assistance must be provided for repair and renovation work in these places. Apart from the employment under Prime Minister Employment package, the KPs must be compensated for their loss.
 
KPs demanded that reservation should be provided to them in educational institution, central and public sector jobs. The basic amenities must be provided to them in the Jagti Township. The Governor assured the delegation an appropriate and sympathetic consideration of its demands.
