Brigadier Joginder Singh Bakshi was commanding a mountain brigade during the operation against Pakistan on the Eastern Front. The brigade carried out successful targeting of the enemy pickets and captured number of localities. His successful venture helped in capturing ‘Bogra’. His profession acumens and courageous endeavours outwitted the enemy. He was awarded ‘Mahavir Chakra’ his bravery and courage.
