Modi Government approves purchase of 54 ‘Harop’ killer drones from Israel

Defense Ministry, Government of Indian has given approval for the purchase of 54 ‘Harop’ drones from Israel that will boost the unmanned war capability of Indian Air force. These killer drones can completely destroy the High-Value Military target of the enemy.
 

 
 
Indian Air Force has 110 such drones at present, which are named P-4. These drones are equipped with Electronic Optical Sensor, which can keep surveillance over the High-Value Military Bases like Surveillance Locations and Radar Stations, before destroying it completely. Last week, Defense Ministry gave approval for the purchase of 54 such drones in a high-level meeting. Officials of Indian Air Force have said that this project will increase the capacity of Indian Air Force. The capability of these drones can be seen during the upcoming practice session when these drones will attack the artificial target.
 
 
 
Discussion on Project ‘Cheetah’ with Israel
 
India is also discussing project ‘Cheetah’ with Israel under which almost all the drones, of the three wings of armed forces, will be converted into high-quality killer drones and their surveillance capacity would be enhanced. Armed forces are also working on developing indigenous drones, which will be deployed on Pakistan and China borders once this project is completed.

 
 
Helicopter and weapons purchases for Navy and Army
 
Modi Government has also ordered for the purchase of 111 helicopters for Indian Navy and these will be purchased under the Strategic Partnership Model. The Government of India will also buy 72,000 Sig Sauer Assault Rifles for Indian Army and an agreement has already been signed, with a German company, for this purpose. This decision was taken under the fast-track process.
