Hizb-ul-Mujahideen

Hizb-ul-Mujahideen is the separatist terrorist organization founded by Muhammad Ahsan Dar in September 1989, whose intention was to separate Kashmir from India and merge it with Pakistan. In contrast to the terrorist organization JKLF, this organization supports the merger of Kashmir with Pakistan. Hizbul was supported by Pakistan to weaken JKLF, another terrorist organization, which was aspiring for independent Kashmir, during 1990s. JKLF idea of Kashmir was inclusive of the Pakistan occupied Kashmir, which is in complete contrast to Pakistan’s own interest in Kashmir. During 1990 more than 10,000 terrorists were under the command of Hizbul and they killed many terrorists of JKLF. Hizbul is designated as a terrorist group by India, the European Union, and the United States.
