Worried about the prospect of his own party in Kashmir, the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and Vice-President of National Conference Omar Abdullah said New Delhi is “creating” new political parties in Kashmir to “suppress” the voice of the people. His remarks clearly referred to the new political outfit floated by administrator turned politician Shah Faesal ‘Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement’ in Kashmir. Since Faesal’s major focus remain in Kashmir, Omar was worried to lose a good number of votes, especially when the BJP is on rise even in Kashmir region.
