JKLF and its journey of terrorism

JKLF is the terrorist organization founded by Amanullah Khan and Maqbool Bhat. This organization is active in both regions of Kashmir, i.e. Kashmir region under Indian administration and the other part, which is under the illegal occupation of Pakistan. In 1984, JKLF mercilessly murdered the Indian diplomat Ravindra Mhatre in Birmingham. With the active support Pakistan, the terrorist outfit spread terrorism across Kashmir valley and killed thousands of Kashmiri Hindus and forced them to leave the Kashmir valley. But with the rise of pro-Pakistan terrorist group Hizbul Mujahidin, Pakistan diverted all its resources to Hizbul. In August 1990, Yasin Malik was captured by security forces and he was imprisoned until May 1994. By 1992, the majority of the JKLF terrorists were killed or captured. Immediately after his release from prison Yasin Malik was left with no option but to declare indefinite ceasefire, as it was not getting cross border support and most of the JKLF terrorists were killed either by security forces or pro-Pakistan terrorist outfits.
