Four terrorists are eliminated in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Shopian district in Jammu and Kashmir. The encounter started in Keller area in the south Kashmir district in the early morning when terrorists started opened fire on the joint team of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Army and the Jammu and Kashmir police, who were patrolling in the area.

 

"Hiding terrorists opened fire at the security forces in Yarwan village of Keller area during a cordon and search operation. Three terrorists were killed in the resulting encounter," a police officer told news agency IANS. The three terrorists are identified as Akib Ahmed, Basharat Ahmed, and Sajjad Khande

 

Another encounter is going at Handwara in Kupwara district. The gunfight is taking place at Yaroo area in Handwara, informed Jammu and Kashmir police. One terrorist is killed by the security forces in this operation.

 

 

 

 

 

The terrorists killed a civilian in Shopian on Monday, who was identified as Tanvir Ahmed Dar resident of Bemnipura village. The security forces started the cordon and search operation to nab the terrorists since then.
