On Tuesday, terrorists lobbed a hand grenade near the venue of NC election meeting in Tral township of Awantipora district. The grenade was thrown at the residence of NC leader Muhammad Ashraf Bhat in Hamami Mohalla of Tral, where Hasnain Masoodi, the party’s parliamentary candidate from Anantnag was addressing the gathering of the party workers. The grenade went off a few meters away from the spot and people in the gathering were remained unhurt. Soon after the explosion the security forces rushed the spot and started search operations.
