Wanted Jaish Terrorist, carrying 2 lakh reward on his head arrested from Srinagar

A special team of Delhi Police arrested wanted Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist, Abdul Majeed Baba, from Srinagar. He is a resident of Magrepora district of Sopore. He will be brought to Delhi today for questioning. Mujeed was apprehended by Delhi Police, in 2007 with a huge cache of arms and ammunition that was to be used for bomb blasts in Delhi. Along with him and Pakistani terrorist Shahid Gafoor, two other terrorists were also nabbed by Delhi Police. But in 2013, the lower court in Delhi released all the terrorists except Mujeed but later the Delhi High Court awarded life imprisonment to all of them. Since then, Police was trying to nab them.
 
Mujeed, was carrying a reward of Rs. 2 lakh on his head, was arrested on Saturday from Soura in downtown Srinagar, Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) said. Though he was acquitted by the lower court in the case but Delhi High Court had issued a non-bailable warrant against him in 2015. Ahmed Sajad Lone, one of the terrorists who escaped with Abdul Majeed Baba, was arrested in April.
