Terrorists shot at Muhammad Ilyas, policeman, at Khanyar in old city here on Wednesday evening. He was returning home after offering Isha prayers at Kaw Mohalla Khanyar when terrorists shot at him. He immediately moved to SMHS hospital where his condition is stated as critical. According to the sources, he sustained head injuries. Police have launched massive search operation in the area to nab the terrorists.

 

 

This is the second incident of its kind in less than a week in Srinagar. On 26 April, militants attacked a policeman Feroz Ahmed at police post-Chanapora in Srinagar injuring him seriously.
