3 LeT Terror Associates Arrested with Grenades in Baramulla, Plot to Disrupt Atmosphere ahead of Parliamentary Elections Foiled

 

J&K Police has arrested three terrorist associates linked with proscribed terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) from Baramulla district and recovered incriminating material and three grenades from their possession.

The arrested trio have been identified as Owais Ahmad Waza, Basit Fayaz Kaloo and Faheem Ahmad Mir, all residents of Baramulla. Police said they were assisting terrorists and providing them with information about security force movements and their intentions was to disturb peace process in Baramulla ahead of Parliamentary Elections, as directed by their handlers across the border.

 

A case FIR No. 79/2024 under sections of UA(P)Act was registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigations was started, police said.
