Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference Chief Farooq Abdullah has accused the Army of working with terrorists. In a recent interview, Abdullah claimed that "they are all in this together to destroy us."

He questioned how, despite the heavy military presence on the borders, so many terrorists are still able to enter Jammu and Kashmir. Abdullah also stated that there are currently 200-300 active terrorists in the region, and despite the tight military security, these terrorists are still managing to infiltrate. He emphasized that the Home Ministry needs to answer for this.

By making such statements, Farooq Abdullah has cast doubt on the dedication and sacrifices of the security personnel who are tirelessly serving on the borders and in civilian areas of Jammu and Kashmir, often at the cost of their lives. Instead of holding Pakistan accountable, which is relentlessly working to destabilize J&K, Abdullah is accusing his own security forces of colluding with terrorists.

Reacting to Farooq Abdullah's statement, J&K DGP R.R. Swain said that thousands of security personnel have sacrificed their lives for the safety of Jammu and Kashmir, and continue to do so. He emphasized that they stand firm in the defense of the nation and will always remain committed to its security.

The BJP and Ghulam Nabi Azad's Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) have strongly condemned Farooq Abdullah's statement, calling it extremely unfortunate. They stated that Abdullah's remarks question the sacrifices of all the Army personnel who have laid down their lives in defense of the nation. They described his statement as highly deplorable.
