Home Minister Amit Shah is set to address three rallies in the Doda region on Monday, marking the final day of campaigning for the first phase of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, a BJP leader announced.
Shah is scheduled to hold three rallies, one each in Ramban, Kishtwar, and Padder.
Voting for the first of the three-phase elections is scheduled for September 18, covering 24 assembly segments across the Chenab valley districts—Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban—as well as the south Kashmir districts of Anantnag, Pulwama, Kulgam, and Shopian.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi already held a large rally in Doda on Saturday to support BJP candidates. This will be Shah’s second visit to the Jammu region in two weeks.
