Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) on Friday announced three candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. The party has nominated Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan, Shammi Oberoi, and Sajad Kichloo to contest the polls.
During a press conference, party leaders also said that discussions are underway with Congress for a possible alliance on the fourth seat.
Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress have not yet declared their candidates. BJP has indicated that it will field its nominees for three seats.
As per the schedule, polling for the Rajya Sabha seats will be held on October 24, while the last date for filing nominations is October 13. Counting of votes will take place on the same day, an hour after polling ends.
