Two soldiers of the Indian Army have gone missing after an operational team encountered a severe snowstorm in the mountainous region of South Kashmir. The incident took place on the intervening night of October 6 and 7 in the Kishtwar range.
 
 
In a post on X, the Chinar Corps of Indian army said, “On the intervening night of 6/7 Oct, an operational team on Kishtwar range confronted a severe snow storm and whiteout conditions in the mountains of South Kashmir. Since then, two soldiers have gone out of communication. Intensive Search and Rescue operations have been launched but are hampered by prevailing adverse weather conditions.”
 
 
Teams of the Army have launched intensive search and rescue operations to locate the missing personnel. However, the operation is being affected by heavy snowfall and low visibility in the area.
