The Counter-Intelligence (CIK) wing of Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday carried out a series of raids at 13 locations across the Kashmir valley, officials said.
According to police sources, the raids are linked to the ongoing investigation into the blast near the Red Fort in Delhi, which claimed the lives of 12 people on November 10. Officials confirmed that the searches were conducted simultaneously in coordination with local police units.
This comes a day after Anantnag Police carried out raids on several locations linked to the banned outfit Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI). Police said they recovered incriminating material during those searches and that several JeI members were questioned and bound down under law.
