Security forces on Friday demolished the residence of Dr. Umar Un Nabi, the key accused in the Red Fort blast that rocked Delhi on 10 November and killed 13 people.

Officials said Dr. Nabi was driving the Hyundai i20 car that had been filled with explosives and taken straight to the blast spot near the Red Fort. His identity was later confirmed when DNA collected from the site matched with his mother, firmly linking him to the attack.

Early in the morning, teams from different security agencies reached his home in Pulwama and brought the house down after finishing all formalities. The place had been under watch for days, ever since investigators followed the evidence trail that led them to him.

Meanwhile, two hybrid terrorists were arrested during a joint operation by security forces and J&K Police in Moominabad area of Sopore on Thursday evening and arms and ammunition recovered from their possession.
