Encounter With Terrorists Breaks Out in Kishtwar, J&K

An encounter broke out on Wednesday morning in the Chhatru area of Kishtwar after the Indian Army and J&K Police received specific intelligence about terrorist presence. A joint operation was quickly launched to track them down.

In an intelligence based operation, in concert with @jk_police, in early morning hours today, alert troops of #WhiteKnightCorps have established contact with terrorists in general area of Chhatru. Fire exchanged with terrorists. Operation is in progress, Indian army said.

 

 

Security forces have sealed the area and the operation is currently underway. Further updates are awaited.
