93% India–Pakistan Border Fenced; 79% Along India–Bangladesh, Govt Tells Lok Sabha

 

 

The length of International Border along India-Pakistan is 2,289.66 kms, out of which 2,135.136 kms, i.e. 93.25% has been physically fenced and 154.524 kms, i.e. 6.75% is unfenced. The length of International Border along India-Bangladesh is 4,096.70 kms, out of which 3,239.92 kms, i.e. 79.08% has been physically fenced and 856.778 kms, i.e. 20.92% is unfenced. Further, 9.214 kms physical fencing work has also been completed along the Indo-Myanmar border, whose length is 1,643 kms: Mos Home Nityanand Rai in Lok Sabha
