Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level meeting at Raj Bhawan in Srinagar to review the progress of various developmental projects in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting was attended by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Shah, who is on a three-day visit to J&K, reached the Kashmir Valley on Monday evening. Soon after his arrival, he visited the residence of Martyr DSP Humayun Muzamil Bhat, who was posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra for his supreme sacrifice during an anti-terror operation in Anantnag in 2023.
Humayun Bhat, the son of retired Inspector General of J&K Police, lost his life while bravely fighting terrorists during a joint operation. Amit Shah was accompanied by LG Manoj Sinha and CM Omar Abdullah during the visit, where he offered his respects to the fallen hero and met the grieving family.
