Pakistani Air Force conducted an airstrike in the Tirah Valley of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, killing at least 30 people, including women and children. The attack carried out by JF-17 fighter jets at around 2 am, involved the dropping of eight LS-6 bombs on the Matre Dara Village, resulting in widespread destruction.
As per reports, the airstrike was aimed at TTP terrorists, but locals said it was a massacre. Homes were destroyed, and many people were buried under the debris.
Disturbing images and videos from the site show bodies scattered across homes and streets, including those of children. The attack has left the area in devastation and shock.
International human rights organisations have urged Pakistan to investigate the incident and ensure the protection of civilians, calling for accountability for any violations.
So far, neither the Pakistani military nor the government has commented on the incident. Observers note that this silence is consistent with past actions of Pakistan’s armed forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, where similar operations have been carried out against civilians.
