J&K: Encounter Breaks Out Between Terrorists, Security Forces in Kupwara

An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Jammu Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday, officials said.
The encounter took place in the Jumgund area of the Keran sector in north Kashmir after alert troops noticed suspicious movement along the Line of Control (LoC) and challenged the suspected terrorists early in the morning, officials said.
It is not yet clear whether the incident was linked to an infiltration attempt. Further details are awaited.
