Shopian Police have busted an intra-UT terror financing module and arrested 10 terrorist associates following an investigation into suspected financial networks linked to terrorist activities in Jammu Kashmir.

Police said a case (FIR No. 231/2026) has been registered at Police Station Shopian under relevant sections of law. During the investigation, police analysed suspicious online transactions made through different payment platforms and traced money trails across multiple layers.

The investigation revealed a wider network of individuals allegedly involved in raising funds for terrorist activities. The accused were also found to have links with terrorists and their associates lodged in different jails.

According to police, the accused were secretly collecting money from the public and channelising it through financial networks to support the activities of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and its offshoot, The Resistance Front (TRF).

The funds were allegedly used to provide logistical support, including smartphones, to further terrorist activities.

Police said further investigation is underway to identify other people involved, trace additional financial links and uncover the wider network. More arrests are expected.
