Historic Moment for Jammu Kashmir
 
 
Jammu Kashmir cricket team created history by reaching the final of the Ranji Trophy for the first time ever. The team defeated the Bengal cricket team by six wickets in the semi-final.
 
 
The victory is being seen as a major milestone in the Union Territory’s domestic cricket journey.
 
 
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha congratulated the team in a post on X, saying:
 
 
“Congratulations to J&K cricket team on their magnificent victory in Ranji Trophy semi-final! You have etched a new golden chapter in the sporting history of J&K. Entire UT is proud of your extraordinary performance. May you continue this winning momentum and bring glory to J&K.”
 
 
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also praised the collective effort of the players and support staff. He said:
 
 
“Our team has made significant progress, and this is the result of their hard work. The players worked hard, along with their coaches and the support staff. No one wins the Ranji Trophy alone. This is the achievement of the entire team and the support staff. I congratulate all of them on my behalf and on behalf of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. I hope the day is not far when we will see players from Jammu and Kashmir playing a very important role in the national team.”
