Security forces foiled a major infiltration attempt along the Line of Control in the Rajouri district after alert troops detected suspicious movement of terrorists on Thursday. Acting swiftly on specific intelligence inputs, the Indian Army responded effectively, forcing the infiltrators to retreat.
“Based on Intelligence inputs and sustained surveillance, suspicious 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 was detected in the general area of Nathua Tibba, 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗶 along the 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 during the early hours of 19 Feb 26. 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗽𝘀 𝗼𝗳 #𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗞𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝘀 responded with swift and calibrated fire, successfully 𝗳𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁.
Own troops are suitably repositioned and re-oriented to ensure comprehensive domination of the area through integrated ground and aerial surveillance. A high state of 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀 to be maintained across the sector”, White Knight Corps of Indian army shared in a post on X.
As per the officials, a search operation was launched shortly after the foiling of the infiltration attempt and it was going on till the last reports came in.
