The Jammu Kashmir Government has disengaged three workers associated with the Jal Shakti Department after their alleged involvement in anti-national and subversive activities came to light during investigations into terror-related cases.
According to separate government orders issued by the department on Tuesday, the three workers have been disengaged from their services with immediate effect in the interest of administration.
The employees include Liyaqat Ali Bhagwan, son of Aziz Mohammad Bhagwan, a need-based casual labourer posted at Berwar in Kishtwar district; Kousar Hussain Bhagwan, son of Mohammad Akbar Bhagwan, a need-based casual labourer posted at Huller under the PHE Sub-Division in Kishtwar; and Showkat Ahmad Zargar, son of Nazir Ahmad Zargar, a daily-rated worker posted at Bijbehara in Anantnag district.
Officials said the action was taken after the Home Department informed the Jal Shakti Department about their alleged involvement in anti-national and subversive activities.
