Taliban Accuse Pakistan of Bombing Afghan Cities, Killing Women and Children

The Deputy Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Hamdullah Fitrat, on Friday accused Pakistan of carrying out fresh bombardments in several Afghan cities, claiming that civilian homes were targeted and women and children were killed, while strongly condemning the attacks and warning that such actions would not go unanswered.
Deputy Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Hamdullah Fitrat (@FitratHamd) posts, “In continuation of previous aggressions and crimes, the Pakistani military regime has once again carried out bombardments in Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia, Paktika, and several other areas. In certain locations, civilian homes were deliberately targeted, resulting in the martyrdom of women and children, while in other areas deserts and uninhabited lands were struck, reflecting both reckless military conduct and a blatant disregard for civilian life. Such a cruel act of aggression during the final ten days of the holy month of Ramadan and on the eve of Eid unmistakably demonstrates that those responsible remain wholly detached from any genuine commitment to humanitarian norms, ethical responsibility, or universally recognized moral principles. The Islamic Emirate unequivocally condemns this crime and blatant act of aggression, and it must be clearly understood that such brutality and injustice will not remain unanswered.”
Last month, Islamabad launched a military operation against Afghanistan targeting Islamist terrorists after a rise in attacks in Pakistan. However, the Taliban government in Afghanistan has denied any role in the violence and rejected claims that Afghan territory is being used for terrorist activities.
