Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday inaugurated Asia’s largest tulip garden, the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden, for visitors in Srinagar. Located at the foothills of the Zabarwan Range, the garden has been opened to welcome tourists and locals.
 
 
The garden is expected to attract thousands of visitors who are eager to witness the colourful display of blooming flowers. Officials said that more than 70 varieties of tulips have been planted in the garden this year. Every year, the garden draws a large number of tourists, nature lovers and photographers from across the country and abroad.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said, ”We hope that people can take advantage of the beauty of Jammu and Kashmir, and tourists will begin visiting the garden right now. As long as the flowers remain, I hope that the garden will be packed with both local visitors and tourists. This time, the department added some terraces.. Gradually, more things will be added to it, and efforts will be made to ensure that people coming here can get a new experience.”
