Mysterious Blast Near Former Sarpanch’s House in J&K’s Samba, No Injuries Reported

A mysterious blast created panic in a village in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir in the early hours of Monday.

 

According to reports, the explosion took place around 1:00 AM near the main gate of former sarpanch Jai Ram Sharma’s residence in Gawala Talab village, located in the Ghagwal sector, about 10 km from the International Border.

 

The impact of the blast was strong enough to uproot the main gate and damage a portion of the boundary wall of the house. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported.

 

Locals said the sound of the explosion was very loud and could be heard up to a distance of nearly 5 kilometers, which caused panic among residents in nearby areas.

 

Police teams rushed to the spot soon after the incident and have started an investigation. Security agencies are closely examining the site to find out more details.
