Another LeT Commander linked to Hafiz Saeed shot dead by unknown gunmen in Pakistan

A senior commander of the banned terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Sheikh Yousuf Afridi, was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday, April 26.

According to reports, armed assailants opened fire at close range, leaving him with multiple bullet injuries and no chance to escape. The attackers fled the spot soon after the incident, and no group has claimed responsibility so far.

Afridi was said to be a key figure in LeT’s network and was believed to be close to its chief Hafiz Saeed. He was reportedly involved in recruitment and coordinating activities of the outfit in the region.

Officials said his killing is part of a series of similar attacks on people linked to terrorist groups in Pakistan in recent years. However, security agencies have cordoned off the area and started an investigation into the matter.
