Jammu Kashmir Police have uncovered a major interstate terror module linked to the Lashkar-e-Taiba and arrested five people in a big operation.

One of the arrested accused, Abdullah alias Abu Hureira, had been absconding for the past 16 years and had managed to create hideouts outside Jammu and Kashmir. Another Pakistani terrorist, Usman alias Khubaib, was also caught during the operation.

Officials said that the action was carried out jointly by J&K Police and central agencies. During the investigation, raids were conducted at 19 locations across Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, and Haryana, where several important materials were recovered.

The probe has revealed that this was a well-organised network of Lashkar-e-Taiba that was actively helping terrorists with logistics and financial support.

Officials said that out of the five people arrested, three are residents of Srinagar. They have been identified as Mohammad Naqeeb Bhat, Adil Rashid Bhat, and Ghulam Mohammad Mir, also known as Mama. These individuals were helping the terrorists by providing them with basic support like shelter and food.
