PM Modi reduces convoy size, Amit Shah follows example

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for austerity and fuel conservation, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also reduced the size of his convoy by more than half.

 

 

The move comes days after PM Modi urged people to avoid unnecessary use of fuel driven vehicles and adopt measures to save fuel. According to official sources, the Prime Minister has already started using a smaller convoy during his recent domestic visits.

 

 

Sources said the reduction in the PM’s convoy was carried out while keeping all necessary security arrangements in place as per Special Protection Group (SPG) protocol.
