Teacher among two arrested for aiding JeM terrorists in J&K’s Kishtwar
 
 
In a major crackdown on terror support networks in Jammu and Kashmir, Kishtwar Police arrested two persons linked to the Saifullah group for aiding foreign terrorists by providing logistical support and arranging a hideout in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar district.
 
 
The accused have been identified as Mashkoor Ahmed, a government teacher from Beighpora Singhpora, and Maneer Ahmed, a driver from Bandeyan Naidgam in Kishtwar district.
 
 
Notably, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) commander Saifullah, a Pakistani terrorist, and his associates were killed by security forces in an encounter in the upper reaches of Kishtwar district in February this year.
 
 
“Kishtwar Police arrested Mashkoor Ahmed (Beighpora, Singhpora) and Maneer Ahmed (Bandeyan Naidgam) for aiding foreign terrorists by facilitating a hideout in Chatroo. FIR No. 03/2026 has been registered at Police Station Chatroo under the BNS, UAPA, and Arms Act.
 
 
SSP Kishtwar Naresh Singh JKPS stated that the operation has dealt a significant blow to terror logistics in the region. Investigation is underway to dismantle the entire network and bring all involved to justice,” District Police Kishtwar posted on X.
 
 
Police said the action is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist networks operating in the region.
