Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha extended greetings to devotees on the sacred occasion of Jyeshtha Ashtami and participated in the annual Mata Kheer Bhawani Mela at the revered shrine in Ganderbal on Monday.
 
 
In a message, the Lieutenant Governor said, “Heartiest greetings to all, especially our Kashmiri Pandit brothers and sisters, on the sacred occasion of Jyeshtha Ashtami. May Mata Kheer Bhawani continue to guide us on the path of righteousness and bless everyone with peace, happiness, good health and prosperity.”
 
 
“Visited Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple in Ganderbal today to celebrate Jyeshtha Ashtami and pray for the peace & prosperity of all. Truly special to share this joyful occasion and connect with devotees from every corner of the country,” Manoj Sinha said in another post on X.
 
 
 
 
 
Officials said that the number of devotees participating in the pilgrimage this year is significantly higher compared to previous years. Due to the increased turnout, a large gathering was witnessed at the Mata Kheer Bhawani Mela, which is one of the most important religious events for the Kashmiri Hindu community.
 
 
The annual mela is celebrated with great devotion and attracts thousands of devotees from across Jammu and Kashmir and other parts of the country who visit the shrine to offer prayers and seek blessings of Goddess Ragnya Devi.
