Jammu and Kashmir is set to host its first ever International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir (IFFJK) from September 7 to 11, 2026, marking a major step towards promoting cinema, culture and tourism in the Union Territory.
The festival will be held at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar and other locations across Jammu and Kashmir. It will be organised by the Directorate of Information & Public Relations, J&K (DIPR) in collaboration with the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC).
The five-day event is expected to bring together filmmakers, actors, producers and industry experts from India and abroad. It will showcase a wide range of films and provide a platform for interaction, networking and collaboration among members of the film fraternity.
The festival aims to promote cinematic excellence while encouraging cultural exchange and highlighting Jammu and Kashmir’s rich heritage. It is also expected to boost tourism and strengthen the Union Territory’s position as an emerging destination for film production.
