J&K: Five Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra pilgrims injured in road accident near Udhampur

Five pilgrims of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra were injured after their vehicle met with an accident near Toldi Nallah on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Udhampur on Friday.

 

The pilgrims were travelling from Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas in Jammu to Pahalgam when the accident took place.

 

The injured were immediately shifted to Government Medical College Hospital, Udhampur, where they are receiving treatment. Their condition is being monitored.

 

Meanwhile, the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra continues smoothly. On Friday, 8,796 pilgrims left Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas in Jammu in the ninth batch under tight security.

 

With the latest batch, the total number of devotees who have paid obeisance at the holy cave shrine has crossed 1.7 lakh during the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026.
