Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra suspended on Baltal Route due to bad weather

 

The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra was suspended from the Baltal route on Friday due to bad weather and ongoing repair work on the track, officials said.

 

 

The Pahalgam route is already closed for repairs. Heavy rainfall on Thursday night triggered a minor flash flood in the Baltal area, but no casualties or property damage were reported.

 

 

The Yatra, which began on July 3, has so far witnessed over 4.5 lakh devotees visiting the holy cave shrine. It is scheduled to conclude on August 28 on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
