The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Saturday designated 23 Pakistan based individuals linked to banned terror outfits, including Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and other organisations, as “terrorists” under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). According to the government notification, the individuals were involved in major terrorist attacks in India over the past few years, infiltration, recruitment of terrorists, arms smuggling and other cross border terror activities.
