Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Police have issued lookout notices for two undertrial prisoners accused in separate cases under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act after they allegedly escaped from Central Jail Srinagar.
The escaped accused have been identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Gujjar, a resident of Anantnag, and Farman Khan, a resident of Sadanpora in Rajasthan.
Following their escape, police have launched search operations and intensified efforts to trace the two accused.
Police have also appealed to the public to share any information that could help in locating them. Police said that information leading to the arrest of either accused will be suitably rewarded.
