J&K becomes Fully Literate under Centre’s ULLAS Scheme, Achieves 99.09% Literacy Success

Jammu Kashmir has achieved a major milestone by becoming a Fully Literate Union Territory under the Government of India’s ULLAS (Understanding Lifelong Learning for All in Society) scheme. With a literacy success rate of 99.09%, the Union Territory has become the largest population region to attain Fully Literate status under the initiative.
 
 
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha congratulated teachers, administrators and all those who contributed to the achievement, describing education as the strongest tool for empowerment.
  
 
“UT of Jammu Kashmir proudly joins the league of Fully Literate States/UTs under the ULLAS scheme of Government of India. With 99.09% success, it stands tall as the largest population region to achieve this milestone. 
Congratulations to our teachers, administrators and every stakeholder who made this possible. Let us always remember that education is the truest force of empowerment and our collective responsibility is to keep advancing this mission”, LG Manoj Sinha said on X.
