J&K Police announce Rs 15 lakh reward for LeT terrorist wanted in cop killing

Jammu Kashmir Police have announced a cash reward of Rs 15 lakh for anyone providing information that leads to the arrest of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Mohammad Lateef Bhat, who is accused of killing Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi in Anantnag on July 22 while the policeman was deployed on Shri Amarnath Yatra duty.

 

Police have also put up wanted posters carrying Bhat’s photograph at prominent public places across the Kashmir valley. According to police, Bhat was involved in the attack in Anantnag market in which Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi lost his life.

 

Meanwhile, security forces are also searching for the terrorists responsible for the July 31 killing of two non-local brick kiln labourers in Kellam village of Kulgam district. The victims were identified as Deepak and Bopinder, both residents of Chhattisgarh.
