Pakistan Conducts Fresh Airstrikes in Afghanistan; Taliban Claims Four Civilians Killed

Pakistan conducted fresh airstrikes on Afghanistan’s Kandahar, Paktia and Khost provinces on Thursday, with the Taliban claiming that four Afghan civilians were killed in the strikes.

 

 

 

Earlier in the day, Pakistan said it had targeted 10 sites in Afghanistan allegedly being used to launch and store drones. The action followed an attack in which drones launched from Afghan territory were fired at Pakistan.

 

Reacting to the strikes, the spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan said:

 

“On September 24, 2026, the Pakistani military regime once again carried out acts of aggression and launched airstrikes against Afghanistan’s Kandahar, Paktia, and Khost provinces.

 

 

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strongly condemns these indiscriminate and cowardly attacks, describing them as a flagrant violation of all principles and a clear act of aggression and crime. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan assures the people that these shameless acts of aggression and attacks by the Pakistani military regime will be met with an appropriate response through a decisive stance.”

 

The latest strikes come days after Pakistan conducted airstrikes inside Afghanistan, in which Afghan authorities had claimed that three civilians were killed.
