Budgam: One terrorist was killed during a joint operation launched by the Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF in the Ashdar Gali area of Budgam based on specific intelligence inputs, the Army said on Friday.
In a post on X, the Indian Army said, “Based on specific intelligence input, a Joint Search Operation was launched by IndianArmy, JmuKmrPolice and CRPF in general area Ashdar Gali, Budgam.
Vigilant troops observed suspicious activity and upon being challenged, terrorists opened fire, prompting a fierce exchange of gunfire during which One terrorist killed and one AK rifle and other war-like stores recovered. Search operation is in progress.”
The Army said one AK rifle and other war-like stores were recovered during the operation. The identity of killed terrorist is yet to be identified as the search operation is still underway.
