Pakistan Begs for Water, Sends terrorists to India: Pakistani LeT terrorist killed in Budgam

Srinagar, J&K: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday identified the terrorist killed during Operation Ashdar in Budgam as a Pakistani national affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), exposing yet again the continued presence and support of Pakistan-based terror networks operating against India.

The terrorist neutralised, during Op Ashdar, has been identified as Yasir, a Pakistani national of Lashkar e Taiba.”, J&K Police said in a post on X.
Security forces had gunned down a terrorist during an encounter in the Ashdar area of Budgam district on Sunday. An AK rifle and other war-like stores were recovered from the slain terrorist, officials said.
The identification of Yasir as a Pakistani national and LeT terrorist has once again raised serious questions over Pakistan’s claims of seeking peace with India. While Islamabad continues to seek the restoration of the Indus Waters Treaty, its terror machinery continues to send armed terrorists across the border to target Indians.
India had put the Indus Waters Treaty in abeyance following the brutal April 22, 2025 Pahalgam terror attack, in which 26 civilians were killed after being targeted on the basis of their religion. India has repeatedly made its position clear that Pakistan must end cross-border terrorism before any reconsideration of the treaty.
India had also made it clear in no uncertain terms that “blood and water cannot flow together.”
Yet, despite running from pillar to post seeking the treaty’s restoration, Pakistan appears unwilling to dismantle the terror infrastructure operating from its soil. The killing of Pakistani national Yasir in Budgam is another stark reminder of the contradiction between Islamabad’s diplomatic appeals and its continued backing of terrorism.
Pakistan cannot demand water with one hand while sending terrorists with the other. As long as it continues to use terrorism as a weapon against India, its pleas for normal relations and restoration of the treaty are bound to face India’s firm response.
