On the night of 3rd Dec 1971, the enemy launched a massive attack against the Brigade Sector with two Infantry Brigades supported by three artillery regiments. The enemy repeatedly attacked the features held by the Brigade for four continuous days and night. Brig. Natu not only planned & organised his command with excellent skill and professional competence but also effectively conducted the defences to repulse the enemy attacks. Due to his heroic defence of the Poonch sector, his Brigade inflicted heavy casualties on the enemy.
